"Radiant Fanfare" is a good example of beginning band writing that that doesn't dumb down music for this level. Often we hear music for the beginner that simply is musically childish. "Radiant Fanfare" offers moving lines that require various sections to play with rhythmic accuracy and at the same time provides enough repetition to make students feel secure. March Regal

"March Regal" is an excellent march for beginning band. The form is traditional with a key change in trio and even a woodwind obbligato accompanying the melody--- very Sousa like. First clarinet does cross the break.
