The slow introduction splits the melody between the woodwinds and the brass. This builds into a lush full band statement   The fast section features a powerful ostinato pattern which captivates the listener.  A percussion section feature in the middle of the fast section leads to a rousing ending. The repetitive rhythms and solid scoring make this an ideal festival or contest piece.
