There comes a time in a young band musician's career when technical challenges become easier and he/she is ready to take off by leaps and bounds. This Grade 2 Band, band piece is written for those students. The piece, written in Bb concert, attempts to get developing players through at least an octave of range. The piece reinforces beginning to intermediate rhythms and articulations. Starting with the opening percussion introduction and trumpet fanfare the piece allows students to hear and recognize basic formal and organizational elements in the music.
