"Give It a Rest" is great supplementary music for reinforcing independent counting. Ranges of the composition are limited to the first six notes learned and rhythms are limited to quarter, half and whole notes. "Give It a Rest" takes the abstract concept of rests in music to a new level. Students will enjoy rehearsing and performing the piece.
