"Fanfare and Processional" will make a great concert opener. The opening fanfare, featuring the trumpet section, sets the stage for a stately processional with the melody scored for low woodwinds. Following a rousing percussion interlude, the key modulates to Eb Major and low brass and clarinets are featured with contrasting melodic material. A return to the original theme and concluding fanfare provide a rousing ending to this regal march. Directors should adhere to the tempo marking and students should pay particular attention to perform the "march style" articulations as written.
