Code Red is a short programmatic work for young concert bands that uses aggressive motivic development and percussion writing to create a feeling of urgency. 'Code Red' is used in many hospitals as a warning of a fire in the facility or a patient arriving with burns. 'Code Red' demonstrates that easier music can be exciting.
