"Berlin 1965" captures the essence of the Berlin spirit during the cold war period around 1965. The solemn opening section captures the melancholy feeling which surrounded the city. The spirited dissonant 2nd section represents the famous wall which separated families and cultures. A trumpet solo pays tribute to those that perished in the quest for freedom. "Berlin 1965" is an excellent concert or contest selection.
