You can teach a short course on march form with this tune. It has an introduction, first strain, and even a "dog fight",  making the teaching of form easy and fun. The basic 6 note range makes March Onward a good selection to go with the first few pages of your method book.  The flex scoring allows very small bands to perform the work and an optional piano part is also included.
