Arranger Lee Shook combines themes from Gustav Holst's 1st and 2nd Suites to create an exciting overture style composition for festival and concert performances. At grade 2.5 this arrangement is playable by advanced level middle school and intermediate level high school bands. Key centers and instrument ranges have been adjusted for young musicians without compromising the signature British band sound that is characteristic of Holst music. Students will find rehearsing and performing these famous melodies very rewarding.
