Marching to Victory provides excellent teaching material for 6/8 time. All the typical nuances of the 6/8 rhythm are included in this very playable selection. The 1st Clarinet part does cross the break, but ranges are generally modest.

My students really like it and I like that it is based on the B flat scale. The students learn about the importance of knowing their scales and how it relates to pieces of music. The rhythms are not too difficult but difficult enough to challenge them. It is well written and works for small instrumentation.
