Give It a Rest

I'm using it for my 1st year 5th graders. It stays within five notes. Independent low brass line for counting basic quarters and half notes. Students like it. Accessible percussion rhythms. As title suggests , reinforces quarter rests.

Your alto saxophones will need to learn a couple of new (low) notes, but other than that, your beginners will love this piece. We will perform it for our winter concert and they are super excited about it! Great practice and enforcement of quarter notes and quarter rests. Thank you. It also didn't put a hole in our band budget. I appreciate that too!
