Really Nice! This medium tempo “Basie” type blues in F is a great chart for teaching swing style to a young band.  The rhythm section writing is complete and will lay down easy with inexperienced players. Written solo for Trumpet 2 and piano . Enhanced instrumentation includes parts for Clarinet, Flute, F-Horn, Vibes, Baritone BC, Baritone TC and Tuba. This chart is fun to play and will please most any crowd or adjudication panel. .

A fun tune. Good block writing but can be done with a smaller group. Includes parts for non-standard instruments which is a huge plus for a small program. Written out solos, piano parts, bass line.

I bought this for my beginning group, but thought I'd try it out first with my professional group. Wow! While certainly "too easy" for them, it sounded as good as many a Hefti or Nestico arrangement would - and I wouldn't hesitate to use it in public. Great sounding arrangement that's just perfect for filling that Basie niche in a program.
