Embark on a mystical journey to the mythical island nation Atlantis which is mentioned in Plato dialogues Timaeus and €š Critias.  A somber stunning opening sets the stage for the entire work before the fast pulsating dance-like section takes over. 
Atlantis will make a delightful concert program number and can be also used in the contest setting.  Although written for young bands, Atlantis is suitable for high school programs.

Atlantis

Nice piece for younger bands. Most of it is fairly simple until you encounter the syncopated/tied section. That has been a big challenge. There is a nice feel to this piece with dramatic and memorable lines throughout.
