The great ensemble writing of the laid back swinger "Morning Sun" just feels good all the time.  The nice swingin' groove happens immediately making the tune a perfect concert opener. Solos in Tenor and Trumpet are written but there is lots of room for more solo work.  If you had to pick a chart to teach swing, you'd be hard pressed to find anything better than "Morning Sun". Clarinet, Horn, Violin, Flute, Baritone and Tuba parts are included.  Ranges are modest.
