Very Beginning Band

"Give It a Rest" is great supplementary music for reinforcing independent counting.  Ranges of the composition are limited to the first six notes learned and rhythms are limited to quarter, half and whole notes.  "Give It a Rest" takes the abstract concept of rests in music to a new level.  Students will enjoy rehearsing and performing the piece.

My beginners LOVE it!

Your alto saxophones will need to learn a couple of new (low) notes, but other than that, your beginners will love this piece. We will perform it for our winter concert and they are super excited about it! Great practice and enforcement of quarter notes and quarter rests. Thank you. It also didn't put a hole in our band budget. I appreciate that too!
